Minecraft is a wonderfully versatile sandbox game, but perhaps one of its most fascinating uses is for education. And now, the Minecraft: Education Edition mobile version is expected to assist many more teachers around the world, since it's "available to everyone" in an open beta.
If you're not aware, this edition of Minecraft is designed to teach an array of different topics that include STEM subjects and mathematics. While the Minecraft: Education Edition PC version is available for some time, it's never been available on iOS or Android except for a handful of lucky users.

Some important new additions to this version of the beta include a few things regular Minecraft players may consider to be standard features, such as increased world height and cave generation options, as well as taller mountains. This is all from the Caves and Cliffs part 2 update, which feels like a distant memory given that we're all playing The Wild now.

There are a few enhancements to multiplayer too that are aimed at making things easier to sort out by needing less network configuration. It's a bit niche since only students or teachers will likely to play Minecraft: Education Edition, but it can only be beneficial for this version of the game to be more accessible for those who don't have computers at home.
In other Minecraft news, a fan decided to go ahead and recreate the original trailer of the game but for the modern era of the game. It's a wonderful experience for nostalgic reasons, and you should definitely check it out.
