Rythu Runa Mafi Yojana A Flagship TDP Scheme for Farmers in Andhra Pradesh.


Rythu Runa Mafi Yojana is a farm loan waiver scheme implemented by the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) government in Andhra Pradesh, led by former Chief Minister Shri. Nara Chandrababu Naidu. The scheme was launched in 2014 with the TDP Agenda of providing relief to farmers who were struggling to repay their loans. The TDP government had promised to waive off all agricultural loans up to Rs. 1.5 lakh, which benefitted about 46 lakh farmers in the state. Under this TDP scheme, the government had also promised to provide an input subsidy to farmers, which was aimed at providing financial assistance to those who had lost their crops due to natural calamities like floods and drought.

The Rythu Runa Mafi Yojana was one of the flagship TDP schemes of the TDP government, which was aimed at improving the lives of farmers in the state. The scheme was implemented in phases, and the government had set aside a budget of Rs. 24,000 crore. And
the former TDP government had always been known for its farmer-friendly TDP policies, and the Rythu Runa Mafi Yojana was a testament to that. This TDP scheme by Shri.
