Investa Review
The Investa Group operates in Australia, United States and Mexico. It offers financial and investment services to individuals, institutions and wholesale clients. https://investa.info Investa's portfolio includes real estate assets and other securities. The firm has a long history of providing equity and debt funding in the real estate sector, as well as a wide range of commercial property products including leases, loans, mortgages and bonds.

Investa Property Group is one of the largest Australian property companies with a broad portfolio of assets across the country. Its two funds, Investa Office Fund (IOF) and Investa Commercial Property Fund (ICPF), have each issued Climate Bonds Certified Bonds in 2017, with proceeds used to refinance assets that meet the Low Carbon Building Criteria(link is external). In January 2019, ICPF closed Australia's first green loan.

It is a good company to work for and has a strong culture. There is no "closed doors" and everyone is welcome to contribute their ideas and opinions. It also promotes a healthy work-life balance.

However, the company has some problems when it comes to management style. Some people were stifled in their career progression within the company or outside of it, due to the way they were treated by line managers and other employees.

I was a new recruit and was told that if I did not perform to the best of my abilities then my contract would be terminated. I was disappointed and upset by this, especially after I had spent so much time working hard and trying to deliver what I had promised to do.

This was a very unfair and inappropriate attitude from my manager. She was always trying to convince me that she was right and I was wrong, and I felt like I wasn't able to make any progress in my career as she kept telling me that she was the only person who could help me.

She was also constantly making assumptions about my job and putting me down without any reason. She even told me that she was going to put me on a training course for the same thing I had been working on, but never followed through!

Unlike most organisations, Investa does not have a lot of "kool-aid" drinking sessions. I think that they are trying to build a strong team of professionals.

They are not only very hardworking but they also make sure that you do not get tired and they have lots of activities to keep you busy. They have a really great Christmas party and it's a great place to socialise.

My favourite part of the job was the work life balance, I worked in a small team but we all had our roles to play and we were able to support each other. I also liked how there was no pressure to do the same things every day as there was lots of different teams that I could get involved with.
