The Xbox maker has announced plans to purchase Beam, a live streaming service located in Seattle and was founded by Matt Salsamendi (18 years old).
The teen who started his company in January claims it has already had 100,000 customers.
Unlike other streaming services, it lets users influence and interact with a game being streamed by another player.
Beam allows viewers to suggest challenges to streamers and even modify in-game elements such as the weapon loadout or the quest selection.
Today, the Xbox maker announced plans to acquire live streaming service Beam founded in Seattle, a company created by Matt Salsamendi (18 years old).
It also allows developers to design special button layouts that allow viewers to interact with games being streamed through Beam.
'We at Xbox are excited about this convergence of playing and watching and wish to give gamers the freedom and choice to have great multiplayer experiences across all of Beam's platforms,' Chad Gibson, a partner group program manager in Microsoft's Xbox Live division, said in a statement.

The acquisition will let gamers play the games they want, with the people they want, and on the devices they want.'
The terms of the agreement have not been revealed.
He explained how the system may be integrated with Minecraft.
'Using 'Minecraft' as one example With Beam you don't just sit and watch your favorite streamer play, you play along with them.
You can present them with new challenges and make real-time decisions that affect their gameplay, from selecting tools to quests to movement all using simple visual controls.'
Salsamendi states that Beam will continue to run even though Beam and his colleagues are integrated into the Xbox engineering team.
In an article on the Beam website, Salsamendi says the service has seen a rise of around 100,000 users following its launch in January of this year.
He writes, "As part Xbox, we will be able to scale faster than ever before."
"We're expanding our team, strengthening our infrastructure and, the most important thing is to continue to expand and help the incredible community at Beam.'
THE XBOX ONE S
The Xbox One S will come in a colour known as "robot white".
It will come with an internal power supply, in contrast to the previous generations of Xbox that have been powered by external power sources.
Despite this however, the Xbox One S will also be 40% smaller than the previous model.
Microsoft confirmed that the console will be able to play 4K Ultra HD video and will be equipped with up to 2TB of internal hard disk space.
The new model will have High Dynamic Range (HDR) and wireless controllers with a longer range.
Microsoft's Xbox design lab will allow owners to personalize their controller.
