ชอว์ แบ็กซ้าย แมนเชสเตอร์ ยูไนเต็ดกำลังสำคัญต่อวงการกีฬาฟุตบอลเด็ง เค้าได้ต่อสัญญากับ "ปีศาจแดง" ออกไปอีก 4 ปีอย่างเป็นทางการแล้วเมื่อวันอังคารที่ 4 เมษายน เค้าจึงได้ค้าแข้งต่อในเมือง โอลด์ แทร็ฟฟอร์ด จนถึงช่วงซัมเมอร์ปี 2027
สัญญาเดิมกองหลังทีมชาติอังกฤษ วัย 27 ปี จะหมดลงในปี 2024 แต่ด้วยลีลาการลงแข่งที่ยอดเยี่ยมในฤดูกาลนี้ที่ช่วยให้ทีมได้แชมป์ คาราบาว คัพ, รั้งอันดับห้าในลีก และยังอยู่ในเส้นทางลุ้นแชมป์ เอฟเอ คัพ กับ ยูโรปา ลีก ทำให้ แมนฯ ยูไนเต็ด มอบสัญญาใหม่ให้เป็นรางวัลตอบแทน
ชอว์ ย้ายจาก เซาธ์แฮมป์ตัน มาอยู่กับ แมนฯ ยูไนเต็ด ตั้งแต่ปี 2014 ด้วยค่าตัวราว 30 ล้านปอนด์ (ประมาณ ทีเด็ดวันนี้ ล้านบาท) และจากการต่อสัญญาครั้งนี้จะทำให้เจ้าตัวได้ อยู่เล่นที่โรงละครแห่งความฝันเกิน 10 ปีอย่างแน่นอน
ในฤดูกาลนี้ ชอว์ ยังคงเป็นตัวหลัก เอริค เทน ฮาก แม้ "ปีศาจแดง" จะไปดึง ไทเรลล์ มาลาเซีย แบ็กซ้ายชาวดัตช์มาเสริมทัพในช่วงซัมเมอร์ปีทีผ่านมาก็ตาม โดยเจ้าตัวลงเล่นไปแล้ว 36 เกมในทุกรายการ ทำได้ 1 ประตูและจัดไปอีก 6 แอสซิสต์
ในขณะนี้แมนฯ ยูไนเต็ด กำลังพยายามจับนักเตะสำคัญต่อสัญญา โดยนอกจาก ชอว์ แล้วก็ยังมี มาร์คัส แรชฟอร์ด กองหน้าทีมชาติอังกฤษ และ ดาบิด เด เคอา ผู้รักษาประตูชาวสแปนิช ที่มีข่าวบอกปัดข้อเสนอรอบแรก แต่เชื่อว่าสุดท้ายแล้วจะคุยกันลงตัว เพราะนักเตะมีความสุขดีกับการเล่นให้สโมสร
