What Is Man Code?
The man command is an open source utility that displays a manual page. It is primarily used for viewing the manual pages of a program on Unix or Linux operating systems. The command is also ported to the Windows platform and is included as a SUID root binary with some distributions of the Unix operating system.

It can also be run from a shell prompt or from the command line using an optional option. Various options can be specified to modify the search path, section order, output processor, etc.

A list of all available manual pages can be supplied, grouped by package, for example: --pages NewOS. This can be useful when trying to find a specific section of a particular package or for searching a different package from the current one. The list can also be omitted or narrowed to only a subset of manual pages in the current package by supplying an option with an explicit or oblique sub-extension, as tcl.

The manual pager utilities distributed with man-db use index database caches to speed up searches. These caches contain information about where each manual page is located on the filesystem and what its whatis (short one line description of the manual page) contains, which allows man to search them much faster than if it had to look up each page on the filesystem each time. If the -u option is provided, man will ensure that these caches remain consistent.

Depending on the system and implementation, it is possible for man to determine the local locale by interrogating environment variables such as $LC_MESSAGES and $LANG. The determined value is then displayed for the help messages, a number of command line options, and all other output.

This can be overridden temporarily by supplying the current locale string directly to man, which will not take effect until the search for pages actually begins. This is useful if the local language differs from the current one or if you are trying to access manual pages from another operating system and would like man to use that language.

Formatted output is normally discarded when output is directed to a terminal, but it can be retained if the $MAN_KEEP_FORMATTING option is set to any non-empty value. This can be particularly useful for programs that are wrapped around man and need to interpret formatting characters in the output from man.

Several macros can be invoked to perform various operations on manual pages, including extending the header and body of an It macro; modifying a Xo scope; and cross-referencing the name and section number of another man page. These commands can be inserted at the top or bottom of an indented display, in the middle of a line, or within a Do block.

These commands can also be called by a function or macro with zero or more arguments, such as it, yo, and yc. They are not intended to be used with the -f or -k options, which use the 'parm' parameters of a macro. 사나이 코드
