The Morning after - Engadget

If the existing designs of wireless earbuds have not been able to satisfy your needs, Bose is ready to test a new design. These wireless Sport Open Earbuds don't go into or over your ear canal. They are placed over your ear canal and allow you to hear the audio and still be able to hear the sounds around you.

The design is a bit unnatural compared to other headphones but Bose assures that they'll be securely positioned in any weather conditions, and provide clear, loud sound that you can enjoy without broadcasting it to everyone else. I'll need to see reviews from one of our audio experts before I believe fully in what it's selling, but the possibility of a headset with an improved fitting is worth a look.

'Minecraft Earth' will end on June 30th

Microsoft's AR mobile game was introduced in the US last year.

Minecraft Earth players have until June 30th to play the augmented reality game before Microsoft shuts down its servers and makes it no longer available to download from marketplaces for apps. According to the developer, Mojang Studios, "Minecraft Earth was created around the freedom of movement and collaboration and collaboration - two things that are becoming nearly impossible in the current climate."

Tile's next-gen tracker could use ultra-wideband technology

AR could be used to identify it. We're still waiting to see dedicated tracker tags from Apple and Samsung however Tile is trying to keep its edge. TechCrunch reports that the company is developing a tracker that uses ultra-wideband (UWB), instead of Bluetooth to aid in finding lost items. UWB has a handful of advantages over Bluetooth because its high-frequency waves can transmit directional and spatial data, which make it more precise in tracking the location of devices and tags. UWB is already available in the most recent iPhones, including the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra (and Galaxy Z Fold 2) models. Continue reading.

Verizon suspends 3G Shutdown Plans indefinitely

It will keep the network functional alongside its 4G and 5G networks. Verizon Media, the parent company of Engadget isn't planning to shut down its 3G network anytime soon. Kevin King, the carrier's spokesperson said to Light Reading that Verizon's "3G network is in operation" and that the company isn't planning to stop it from operating. King said that Verizon would assist customers in transitioning to newer technology and would "work with customers to help them transition."

Verizon has stopped activating 3G phones in 2018, as "virtually all traffic on its network is on its 4G LTE network," it said at the time. Neither King nor Verizon revealed how many 3G devices are still connected, but the number could be significant if the company chose to keep the network operational alongside 5G and 4G.
