Developing Solution adalah ramuan yang dapat 'menghidupkan' foto / membuat gambar dalam foto tersebut bergerak untuk jangka waktu yang singkat. Ramuan ini juga dapat digunakan pada film buatan muggle untuk efek yang sama. Colin Creevey, wizard yang terlahir dari orang tua muggle, lah yang mempelajari tentang kegunaan ramuan itu pada film muggle. Ramuan ini memerlukan waktu kurang lebih 45 menit untuk pembuatannya.
Bahan:
- 10 fl oz. air garam
- 10 fl oz. Moondew
- 5 tetes Sal Amoniak
- 1 oz. bubuk Moonstone
- 1 sdt Saltpeter
Langkah:
Pertama, tuang air garam dan Moondew ke dalam kuali secara bersamaan. Kemudian, masukkan bubuk Moonstone ke dalam kuali.
Aduk perlahan dalam pola silang selama satu menit, atau sampai cairan bersinar.
Teteskan Sal Amoniak ke dalam larutan dan tunggu selama 5 menit.
Selanjutnya, aduk kuali searah jarum jam secara cepat.
Masukkan saltpeter dari ketinggian sekitar sepuluh inci ke dalam kuali.
Jika ramuan itu selesai dan berhasil, maka kepulan asap besar berwarna kuning akan naik.
