TikTok Restrictions For Parents
Despite its popularity among children and teens, TikTok has some restrictions that parents should know about. Some of these include a parental control system, content filtering, and time limits.

Family Pairing on TikTok
The app offers a "Family Pairing" feature that allows parents to link their own account to their child's account, so they can have access to the kid's account and limit their access to certain features. This includes a privacy setting that disables the duet feature on video clips and a filter that hides all comments from other users without the user's consent.

Restricted Mode on TikTok
The video-sharing app also has a Restricted Mode that filters out mature content. This is designed to help protect children from viewing explicit or obscene content, but it isn't foolproof. It relies on an automated detection system, as well as human moderators, to identify inappropriate themes.

Screen Time Limits on TikTok
The platform has set a default time limit of 60 minutes per day for users under 18 years old. Users can opt to have an additional 30 minutes added by their parent if they want.

Reporting a Video or User
In 2021, TikTok updated its default settings to restrict the following: accounts of users aged 13-15 are private by default; only friends can comment on posts in this age group; the download video feature is disabled for users under 16; direct messaging and live streaming are restricted to accounts over 16; and digital gifts can't be purchased or sent to accounts under 18. If you find that your child is violating these rules, you can report them directly from their profile.

Use of Copyrighted Music in Ads on TikTok
If you make a TikTok ad, you'll have to obtain the appropriate rights to use the music in it. This is a legal requirement for all ad platforms, but it's particularly important to do so on TikTok.

You may also need to contact the copyright holder to obtain permission for your use of music, depending on the situation. Some copyright holders are hesitant to sign away their rights, and you may have to prove that your use of the music is legal in order to be able to post it on TikTok.

Disable tiktok unblocked ' and 'Stitch' features on TikTok
When creating videos, some TikTok users like to create a "duet" where they film their video alongside another video. This can be helpful in attracting new followers, but you can't do this if you're under 16.

A Duet is a side-by-side video that plays at the same time. It's a popular way for users to showcase their talents and earn followers.

Stitching is when a user adds their own content to a video after the original video plays. Stitching is only available to users over 16.

Reporting Content on TikTok
It's always best to teach kids that the world doesn't stop for them and they should be able to report content when it violates their community guidelines. This will help them be more aware of what they are seeing and less likely to view harmful or obscene content.
