สำหรับ แม็กไกวร์ กับ ซานโช่ ถูกซื้อมาจาก เลสเตอร์ และ โบรุสเซีย ดอร์ทมุนด์ ด้วยค่าตัว 80 กับ 73 ล้านปอนด์ ตามลำดับ และแม้การขายออกจะทำให้ แมนฯ ยูไนเต็ด ขาดทุนอย่างหนัก แต่ก็ยังถือเป็นการถอนทุนคืน ทำเงินเข้าสโมสรได้บางส่วน เพื่อผันเงินไปซื้อนักเตะใหม่ต่อไป
