TzTok Jad was the strongest monster of the game for almost three years. Its name could be roughly translated as "Obsidian fire elemental".

Players must take on TzTok-Jad all on their on their own, with no use of summoning creatures or a dwarf multicannon to provide assistance. Before fighting Jad players must defeat 271 monsters. This will result in an increased consumption of food, potions, and ammunition.



TzTokJad is strong enough to pose a danger to any inexperienced or unprepared player, regardless of their skill or equipment.



A player may receive a task of TzHaar monsters in Kuradal and be asked to "Upgrade" your task. You will be assigned an assignment of Volcanic Creatures if you do so. You can choose to kill the Fight Cave from TzTok Jad for a reward. The reward is 25,000 Slayer experience, not including the base reward of 1,309 experiences.



Likewise, a player may receive 1-4 TzTok-Jads in part of a Soul Reaper task. The Fight Caves can take a while for players so the TokHaar and TzekHaar versions of TzTokJads could be killed in their place.

The TzTokJad game doesn't drop any item directly, but it rewards players with various items after they have defeated it. They will also have completed the TzHaar Fight Cave.





100 percent drops[edit edit source]

If the player dies prior to when Jad's death animation ends it is possible to not be awarded a Fire Cape. Players will still receive killcount unless a deathtouched dart is used, and it counts towards Soul Reaper tasks.



Drops onto the ground beneath the player's inventory if it is full.

Various bosses from RuneScape have taken their Santa Hats off for another year.





patch 19 December 2012 (Update): - Speaking to Cyrisus via the NPC Contact spell no longer mentions Jad being a level 702.





patch 13/03/2012 (Update): It is now possible for TzTok Jad to be heard even if TzTok Jad is not within the reach of the draw distance range.





Patch 25 Oct 2011 (Update:): TzTok Jad has had his melee sound delayed by one cycle, and his Magic attack sound effect has been slightly quietened. When he rears up to attack Ranged it now has a sound effect.

patch 14 June patch 14 June (Update): - TzTok Jad's attack sounds have been updated to create an amazing charging sound and to ensure that the sounds can be heard even from the shortest attack distance.





patch 25 Mai patch 25 Mai (Updated): TzTok Jad's ranged sound effect begins when the projectile fires. TzTok Jad's stomping attack sound is now louder.

Trivia [edit

In the 38th Postbag from the Hedge the Wise Old Man estimated the approximate number of Roosters required to finish the TzHaar Fight Cave and kill TzTok-Jad . 5,308. In addition to this, the Wise Old Man mentions TzTok-Jad is allergic to chicken. 1. After the player has killed TzTokJad, their log of Adventurers will state that "I killed TzTokJad , and can now claim mine fire cape." TzTokJad should have a battle rank of 720, while Ket-Zek's level of combat is 360. This is in line with the original logic behind the Fight Caves monsters (combat levels and lives points doubled every time), However, as the hitpoint limit was 255 at the time TzTok-Jad was first introduced, he could not have 320 hitpoints (the double of Ket-Zek's 160 hitpoints). Thus, his hitpoints were set at 250, which gave him the level of combat being 702 instead of 720. With the Evolution of Combat update, the life points of monsters in Fight Caves have since been changed; however, original combat levels remain. - As of 1 February 2018, the top kill count for this boss was 7,614 kills shared between this boss and TokHaarJad. [2] - This number had been increased to 7,789 by 13 December 2018. [3]
