Watch Your Mouth! A Warning About Electronic Collars To Those In YOUR DOG Industry
If a manufacturer or distributor wishes to sell electronic dog collars, or a dog trainer wants to help your dog and the dog's owner with training, why on the planet would they perpetuate the hysteria that originates from describing a remote training collar as a "shock" collar?

For many people, hearing the word "shock" in conjunction with Fluffy's training is really a door slammed shut. The emotion associated with the words "shock-collar" is indeed horrifying that any further discussion goes unheard by the dog's owner.

This mix of words is so powerful that lots of townships, principalities and also entire countries have banned the application of remote training collars. Training with a remote collar requires competence and confidence. Used in combination with skill and positive reinforcement, a dog can be trained rapidly to incredibly high levels of training. An adequately trained dog can have considerably more freedom because the handler can communicate and issue commands even far away. A reliable dog is a trusted partner. The well trained dog can accompany her owner much more often and most dogs are very eager to be by their owner's side. Having the capacity to trust a dog not to run out in a street and get hit by way of a car, or knowing that a dog will come immediately when called gives an owner great reassurance.
