Maverick City is one of the most groundbreaking music groups that specialize in gospel/Christian music. While a lot of songwriters compose on their own, Maverick City members - who fluctuate between 7 and 9 - gather in a room, compose songs, and record them for other artists.
It's hard to believe that it's hard to believe that the Maverick City sessions were created by professionals. They are so raw. The workshops are held during a weekend in Atlanta where 100 people attend singing and prayer classes.

Maverick City Music released Kingdom Book One recently, featuring many songs recorded in Miami's Everglades Correctional Institution. It's a unique collaboration that showcases how the group reaches beyond its studio in Atlanta.
