The device which is fabricated by mixing graphene sheets with titanium nano partials functional performance is specially related to photo current density with the existing of a low optimal concentration of graphene which contributes in this improvement .Although increasing the amount of graphene decrease all functional parameters such as photocurrent density and fill factor.

Another way of enhancing the solar cell charge transport is to reduce the resistance which will enhance the connection between the FTO and oxide.

As previous work on this subject claimed that 3 dimensional interconnected percolating network is responsible for performance enhancement ,but in this study the graphene below percolation threshold is able to boost dye sensitized solar cell (DSSC) functional performances .In this study graphene continuous film was used instead of graphene platelets where as it can move the electrons in a fixed path to transport charge unlike the graphene platelets that moves the electron in random directions which is not favorable to transport charge.

An old material as ZnO can be used for advanced functional applications as an alternative to TiO2 based phot anodes due to its higher electron mobility and similar band structure. A spray deposited ZnO optically transparent compact layer acts as blocking layer in ZnO-based DSSCs to boost device performances, whereas different shapes were tested in order to verify if the zinc oxide layer works at any shape.
