Without any closure at the end of a relationship, we may keep wondering what it was about ourselves, the other person, or the situation that caused the relationship to end. When we do not have the ‘facts’ to answer these questions, our brains begin to make up information to fill in the missing gaps. This made-up information can cause significant distress and hinder us from entering into a new healthy relationship
Hey Kris, I wanted to tell you something important. I’m so sorry to do this to you but I wanna breakup. I lost feelings awhile back but I had just ignored them bc I didn’t want to hurt you. You’re a great person and I know one day you will eventually find someone for you in the future. I hope that we could still be friends bc you still mean to me and I don’t want to completely lose you. I really enjoyed talking to you and calling you all those times. I think this is the best for both of us. I hope that you will still talk to me and know that I will still be here to text you whenever. I’m sorry Kris.
