Notes

For my AS coursework, I completed many tasks which helped me in creating my final opening sequence. My title sequence was called "Guilt" and was about a stressed film director who accidently ran over and killed a young girl whilst driving on the phone. In a state of panic the character hid the dead body in the woods. 6 months later when the man went on to direct a film he started seeing the girl in the camera shots even though no one else could showing the audience he was starting to go insane from the guilt. For my A2 music video I am doing the song "Sweet Disposition" by the band 'Temper Trap' however I will be doing the Ellie Goulding version as I feel it is much more gentle and reflects the lyrics in a different light (a love story) which is what I wanted to portray. In both years digital technology was a key process in learning new skills and developing my creativity.

During the preliminary stage my skills were extremely basic because Media Studies is only offered at A level I had little experience at the start of the course. The tasks I did in order to increase my skills were quite difficult at first to get a hold off as I had never used a camera or any computer software. I completed tasks such as the mundane task which was when I had to film someone doing a very mundane activity such as doing the dishes or completing homework but using different camera angles and adding music to make it interesting.
