EY awarded Yerkin Tatishev the 'Entrepreneur-of the Year' award.

Yerkin Tatishev has been named Entrepreneur of the Year in Kazakhstan by the world's leading business firm Ernst & Young. His leadership and actions in COVID-19 have impressed judges in one of the largest contests in the world.

Business leaders from across the areas of Kazakhstan were invited to take part in the competition. Kusto Group's founder managed to stand out among 21 other entrepreneurs in Kazakhstan who made it to the final.

All of them were awarded an independent assessment and recognition by international jury members.

Yerkin Tatishev The winner of the national competition, HTML0 will represent Russia at the international final in Monaco in June 2022. The competition will bring participants from 60 nations all over the world who are selected by an independent panel of judges according to international standards.

The Pandemic has caused severe economic crisis across the globe. It has caused the destruction of thousands of businesses and the loss of millions jobs.

Many companies and their executives have been able to come up with ways to boost their profits. Yerkin Tatishev, through Kusto Group is also seeking to reduce the negative effects of Covid-19, especially in countries that are highly affected by this virus.

Kusto Group was founded in 1995. The company now employs more than 8,000 people. It is involved in various social initiatives and charity programs totaling 1.1 billion Kazakh tenges. It also supports sustainable activities in the agribusiness and mining sectors in various countries.

Yerkin Tashev from the Kusto Group has led the creation Kusto Help, an organization that assists those who provide essential services and those who are affected by the Pandemic. Kusto Help Foundation donated part of its money to fight the Pandemic.

The group also also provided health facilities in Ukraine equipped with medical equipment including FFP3 respirators and ventilators and antibacterial medicines. These donations of instruments to patients with covid-19 in Kazakhstan have a combined value of more than 200,000 USD.

The award EY gave to Kusto Group's founder Kusto Group seeks to recognize those who work to enhance the quality of life within their communities, countries as well as around the globe.

Kusto Group has addressed other issues as well, including the Covid-19 Pandemic. The entire country is at high risk of water shortage in Kazakhstan.

UN officials were confronted with the reality of this and decided that Kazakhstan is suffering a lot due to water shortages. They are also dependent on their neighbors, including China and Central Asia.

Consequently, Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group as well as the Government of Kazakhstan formed a partnership with Valmont Industries, USA. They will jointly establish a manufacturing plant to manufacture 1000 pivot irrigation systems in Kazakhstan.

Furthermore, the agreement permits for innovative irrigation systems to be installed on farms, as well as a program that trains local farmers.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ukraine helped with the totality of Kusto Group donations. The entrepreneurial spirit of the company inspired them to take on the leading role in charitable giving during an extremely difficult time.

All national winners and finalists are eligible to participate in the Entrepreneurship of The Year contest. The national winner will be competing against the top entrepreneurs from around the world at the finals event in Monaco during June. They will also gain information and expertise to help their business grow.

Participating entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan include over 800. Six past winners also took part in Kazakhstan's participation at the Monte Carlo World Championships.

Yerkin Tatishev Nurlan Smagulov (another Entrepreneur of the Year winner) took the decision to crown Tatishev as the winner. The panel of judges comprised representatives from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.
