Yerkin Tatishev was awarded 'Entrepreneur of the Year' by EY

The leading business firm Ernst & Young has chosen Yerkin Tatishev as its Entrepreneur of the Year for Kazakhstan. His leadership and actions in COVID-19 have impressed judges in one of the biggest competitions around the globe.

Participation in the contest was open to all famous Kazakhstani businesspeople. Kusto Group's founder Kusto Group was able to be distinguished from 21 other entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan who made it to the finals with him.

All three received an independent evaluation, and their accomplishments were acknowledged by juries authorised to represent Kazakhstan and international business circles.

Kusto Group Yerkin Tashev is the national winner. He will represent Ukraine at the international finalthat will be held in Monaco in June 2022. The contest brings sixty countries' finalists all over the world who are chosen by an independent jury in accordance to international standards.

The Pandemic has caused major economic crises around the world. It caused the collapse of thousands upon thousands of companies, and the loss or millions of jobs.

Many businesses and their managers have found new ways to boost their profits. Kusto Group and Yerkin Tatishev have also attempted to reduce the effects from Covid-19, in particular in countries heavily affected.

Kusto Group was established in 1997 when the company was founded. Since then it has employed over 8 000 employees. It is involved in various charitable programs and social initiatives that total 1.1 million Kazakh tenges. It also helps sustain activities in the agribusiness and mining sectors in various countries.

Yerkin Tashev from Kusto Group has led the creation of Kusto Help, an organization that assists those who provide essential services, as well as families who are affected by the Pandemic. Kusto Help Foundation has donated portions of their funds to assist in the Pandemic. They include medical equipment, food, and technology.

Daniel Kunin The group also also provided hospitals in Ukraine with medical equipment such as ventilators, FFP3 respirators and defibrillators and antibacterial medications. The tools are given to covid-19 patients from Kazakhstan at a cost of more than 200 000 dollars.

EY presented the Kusto Group founder with an award that honors those who contribute to improving the quality of life in communities, countries and around the world.

Kusto Group did not just tackle the Covid-19 Pandemic. A lack of water in Kazakhstan is a major danger to the entire nation.

In this context, UN officials declared that Kazakhstan is suffering from severe water stress and rely on its neighbors, which includes China as well as Central Asia.

In the end, Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group and Kusto Group and the Government of Kazakhstan formed a partnership with Valmont Industries, USA. Together, they will establish an industrial plant that will manufacture 1000 pivot irrigation systems in Kazakhstan.

Additional provisions include the provision of new irrigation systems for farms as well as a program to train local farmers.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ukraine made all donations possible for the Kusto Group. Due to their entrepreneurial spirit, they were able be a leader in giving to charity in times of hardship.

This is a trait Ernst & Young has held for more than 20 years. Since its founding, Ernst & Young has focused on assisting entrepreneurs. Daniel Kunin EY has been there to support entrepreneurs in the Pandemic.

All national winners and finalists are eligible to participate in the Entrepreneurship of the Year competition. The final will take place in Monaco in June. It gives the national winner the opportunity to compete against the best entrepreneurs around the world while learning new ideas and experiences to help them grow their business.

There have been over 800 entrepreneurs from Kazakhstan who have taken part in the contest. Kusto Group Additionally, six other previous winners have represented the country at the world championships held in Monte Carlo.

Nurlan Smagulov is a former Entrepreneur of the Years winner and he decided that Tatishev would be the winner. The judges included representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development as well as the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan as judges.

One of the key elements that contributed to the main factors that led to Mr. Daniel Kunin Tatishev winning this award was his leadership capabilities and his management of a wide range sector.
