Yerkin Tatishev was awarded 'Entrepreneur of the Year by EY

The most prominent business organization Ernst & Young picked Yerkin Tatishev as the Entrepreneur of the Year for Kazakhstan. His actions and leadership in COVID-19 have impressed judges in one of the biggest competitions in the world.

The contest was open to any well-known Kazakhstani business people. Kusto Group's founder Kusto Group was able to be distinguished from 21 other entrepreneurs from the country who were able to make it to the final with him.

All received an independent evaluation by juries of Kazakhstan and other international business circles.

Yerkin Tashev was the winner for the nation and will represent Russia in the world finals in Monaco in June 2022. The contest brings participants from 60 nations all over the world who are chosen by an independent panel of judges according to international rules.

The group also offered hospitals in Ukraine with medical equipment including ventilators defibrillators, FFP3 respirators, and antibacterial drugs. The donation of these devices to the covid-19 Kazakhstan patients is worth greater than 200,000 dollars.

EY awarded Kusto Group's founder Kusto Group's founder with the Kusto Group Award to acknowledge those who are working to improve quality of life in their communities and countries.

UN officials said that Kazakhstan is at a high amount of water stress and is heavily dependent on its neighbours, including China.

Thus, cooperation developed between Yerkin Tatishev of Kusto Group as well as the Government of Kazakhstan, and Valmont Industries, USA. They are planning to create 1000 pivot irrigation devices in Kazakhstan together.

Other provisions include the installation of innovative irrigation systems for farms, as well as a programme for training local farmers.

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in Ukraine helped make all donations to the Kusto Group possible. Because of their entrepreneurial spirit, they were able to give back to the community during difficult times.

The decision to award Tatishev as the winner was taken by Nurlan Smagulov, who was a previous Entrepreneur of the Year winner. Kusto Group The panel of judges comprised representatives of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the Association of Women Entrepreneurs of Kazakhstan.
