Badai matahari (sunspot/bintik hitam) adalah aktivitas tertentu dari matahari yang melepas partikel berenergi tinggi, dapat menyebabkan efek negatif pada Bumi. Berupa plasma yang terdiri dari elektron&proton ditambah medan magnet dari dalam korona. Inti matahari yang bersuhu sangat tinggi menyebabkan terjadinya rotasi&aliran massa/konveksi dalam perut bumi yang mempengaruhi gaya magnetnya. Saat aktivitas tinggi, gaya magnet itu terpelintir hingga membentuk bintik hitam di permukaan matahari. Badai matahari menimbulkan tekanan besar pada magnetosfer bumi yang menyebabkan badai magnetik di Bumi. Ini dapat mengganggu komunikasi radio&jarum kompas di Bumi berputar liar.

Tapi karena mereka tak tahu akan kemampuan diricawl yang bisa ber'teleportasi', mereka kira Dodo sudah punah.
