Meeting Procedures

BEFORE THE MEETING:
1. Notify observers of rules for observers.
- Observers may not interfere with the meeting.
- Observers may only speak when they have permission.
- Observers cannot observe "confidential" meetings.
ORDER OF MEETING
1. Attendance
2. Notify Council of Meeting Rules
3. Discussion of Topics Begin.
TOPIC DISCUSSION
1. Say "I would like to bring up the topic of [x]". Replace [x] with the topic. This first sentence must be very CLEAR. Do not include additional details in the first sentence.
2. You may now describe additional details in your other sentences.
3. Discussion about topic will now begin.
4. Once there has been a discussion, someone must state "I request voting to begin". If anyone objects, discussion about the topic will continue.
DURING THE MEETING:
1. STAY ON TOPIC.
2. ONE TOPIC AT A TIME.
3. SPEAK ONLY WHEN APPROPRIATE.
4. DO NOT INTERRUPT ANYONE THAT IS TALKING.
5. FOLLOW DUCKTOPIA MEETING PROCEDURES.
