Clutch Merch
If you've ever listened to Clutch live, you'll know the unique experience it is. Clutch isn't simply a rock or metal band or a southern-style rock band. They are all of these things at once and their music is a reflection of this. The chemistry between the four band members is evident and the fans are always enthusiastic.


But it wasn't always as that. The group's latest release is an audio recording of their early years of formation, recorded in the Norfolk, Virginia venue that barely accommodated 100 people. The PA Tapes is a reminder that Clutch was once just a burgeoning rock band, and was as captivating then as it is today.


It's great that the band is able to keep pushing forward, both in their music, and also with their merchandise. In the past, they joined with artist Derek Hess to create a statue of the design that has been a mainstay on their shirts over the years. The cast in resin can be pre-ordered now with delivery scheduled for December.


For the songs, the group's twelveth album, Book of Bad Decisions was released earlier in the year under their label Weathermaker Music. The album's 15 tracks are in length, but it sounds as if it flows from start to finish. And the production is crisp and clear without sacrificing any of the grit or heaviness which makes Clutch an exceptional band.



The selection is a mixture of everything Americana. Raw jeans, military-inspired clothes as well as tough leather items, are all part of the store. The store also sells a variety of flannel shirt brands like Calee Inc. and Kluane Mountaineering and bags from Warehouse, Stevenson Overall Co., and Fullcount. The Heavyweight Canvas and Leather Pen & Card Case and the Sturdy Leather Car Coat are the two best-selling items.


If you're a big fan of the group, the shop also sells coffee that is sourced from Dark Arts Coffee in London's Fitzrovia district. Cold brew lasts for about 16 hours to prepare, but it's a refreshing alternative for espresso-based coffee. It's drinkable in its entirety, or mixed with milk. There are also kombucha, tea, and other beverages that are available. Clutch Merch can also take home an ounce of their special blend. The store is open 7 all week long, and serves breakfast as well as lunch. It is a must-visit for anyone with an interest in Americana and rock and roll.
