Spider-Man The Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse introduces us to an entirely new character called Miles Morales, the son of an African American father and Puerto Rican mother. Miles Morales, who is the son of an indigenous Puerto Rican mother as well as an African American father is introduced in the movie. Instead of the traditional blue-and-red costume, Miles wears a sleek black suit, which has a stinger at the chest. The new look is a tribute to the original Spider-Man's history as well as establishing Miles as his own superhero.


Miles' entry into the world of heroism was not the most ideal. In the process of visiting his uncle Aaron Davis after winning a lottery to get a place in Brooklyn Visions Academy, Miles is bitten by the Oz-enhanced spider which emerged from his uncle's bag. This bite gives him spider-related powers such as camouflage, wall crawling, and a stun blast. Miles initially is skeptical of his abilities and doesn't wish to be the next superhero. Miles's decision changes after an experience that nearly killed him and talk with his best friend Ganke Lee.


Miles is initially out-of-his-depth as a superhero. However, Miles eventually learns to harness his talents and takes on his own personal interpretation of the Spider-Man role. Contrary to Peter Parker, who was always seeking to perfect his abilities, Miles takes a more instinctive approach to heroics. Miles is able to take risks on missions that are more hazardous, and also learn from his mistakes.


Miles has superhuman agility, in addition to the ability to move faster than most. He can leap over several floors without losing his grip. He also has the ability to hold onto walls with his fingers and feet which allows him to crawl along them. He is also able to sense danger before he is able to see or hear them.


Miles like his predecessor, is equipped with two web-shooters that permit him to fire webbing out of his wrists. Kraven is a villain who has taken away his web-shooters. Without his web-shooters, Miles improvises by creating bioelectric threads that can be used to travel quickly and effectively.


Miles's stylish black Spider-Man costume is a large element of what makes Miles a fresh, thrilling hero. The new colors are a welcome change from the previous red and blue outfit, while still establishing him as a brand new superhero who is a tribute to his father.
