Both he and Ray Corrigan appeared in too numerous serials and movie films to count. When science fiction films became popular during the 1950s, both men continued to make appearances as gorillas, but they also appeared in numerous parts as aliens from space and other aliens from the future.


Gorilla costumes have been used in television and comedy shows. The popular TV show Sesame Street featured a character known as Cookie Monster who was portrayed by an actor wearing the costume of a gorilla. Others have acted as apes during improvised sketches or on stage, including Eddie Murphy in his act The Nutty Professor and Richard Pryor in his satirical routines.
