Ralph Waldo Emerson and Henry David Thoreau were both into Transcendentalism, but they had different ways of talking about it. Emerson thought that nature was super important and had spiritual powers. He believed that being in nature could help you understand deep stuff and go beyond normal life. Thoreau, on the other hand, thought that living a simple life and being self-reliant was the key. He said that by getting rid of all the fancy things and living close to nature, you could find true freedom. When it comes to nature, both Emerson and Thoreau thought it was really cool.
