Tool is a triple-grammy winning metal band, is an icon. Since the past 20 years Tool has been awe-inspiring fans with their innovative music videos, psychedelic art and musical exploration. Through their intricate structure of songs that mix elements from different genres as well as the empathetic voice of Maynard James Keenan and their songs with mystical lyrics, they have emerged as one of the most acclaimed groups from the progressive and alternative scene.
Tool's controversial and critical lyrics have caused controversy among fans from their first album. toolmerch was the most apparent with "Undertown", "Sober" as well as other tracks that dealt topics like drug addiction and prison sex. With their second studio album, "Aenima", Tool did a great job of convincing listeners with their explosive musical performances and mystical lyrics. The album contained a mix of alternative and progressive styles and a labyrinthine chord structure. It was among Tool's more experimental, yet also a hugely successful album.
Following a short break, Tool released "Lateralus" which is their fourth studio album. The band released their fifth album Fear Inoculum in 2019, following another long break. The announcement was staged with an imaginative animation, in typical Tool style. The band convinced the audience once again that the waiting for a new Tool release is completely worth the wait.
