The Wonder Years, Philadelphia's pop-punk, emo, and pioneering band, is not only among the most consistent groups in the scene But they're also master musicians who are able to create their own sound and increase it to levels they never believed was possible. Their ability to create songs that make you scream from every angle, with instrumentals that create music as massive as the sky as well as being remarkable. And that's a trait that continues to shine across 'The Hum Goes On Forever', their debut full-length release since the album of the same name in 2018. Sister Cities.





The album is a journey through the entire discography of the band, from the upbeat "The Greatest Generation," to the dark and gloomy 'Sister Cities,' all rolled into one album that will capture the hearts of new and old fans alike.





Therefore that's why, when the Wonder Years stepped out onto the stage at London's Electric Ballroom on Tuesday night it was clear they came to lift the roof. Opening the set with 'Raining In Kyoto' it wasn't long before the crowd burst into fervent motion, as soaring drums and booming vocals were an ideal prelude to the show to come.





The crowd and the band were in awe of one and the other throughout the entire set. In the wonder years merch where your face should be' Campbell could be heard adressing every single person in the crowd in a manner that made it sound like they were specifically directed at them. When the sound effects for Summer Clothes and Laura & The Beehive were stripped away in the final mix, it did not feel like a simple rehash of what did in Sister Cities.





The evening was completed by a fierce performance of "Slowly Deconstructing Summer" and "Low Tide" that caused the audience to once again explode into chaos. The group concluded their performance with the powerful 'You're the reason I'm not ready for the world to end'.
