Hi.
I hope you & Joey are well. I heard Mabel barking the other day, so I know she's still keeping on eye on you, the house, squirrels, bunnies, raccoons, and anything which cross her path.
Anyway...
Last month I actually went to my first meeting of our townhouses over at the community center adjacent to the pool. We elected a new board member (she ran unopposed), talked about how we will eventually be getting newer lighting in the streetlamps and then heard a presentation on solar panels from 2 representatives from SolarCity.
More importantly, when the floor was opened to general discussion I mentioned it would be nice to have some tree trimming done. The person from the Managing Company said it had already been done, but then the other 6 people who showed up for the meeting started saying they needed limb removal, so the woman from the Managing Company said, "Okay, we can do it."
I gave them a map of problem areas I had hastily drawn and then crossed my fingers that it would get done. On my map, I had drawn your tree and pointed out that it was scraping your house. Anyway, the tree company came and did their thing and now my trees out front and your tree on the side have been nicely pruned. Plus, they removed a couple of dead trees.
I can't believe it happened so easily. I went to the meeting, complained a bit, they said they would handle it, and they did.
Cool beans, eh?
So that's the story which explains why you no longer will hear branches scraping against your house as you fall asleep. Do you miss it? :)
