The iconic Edward Scissorhands film has turned into a popular Halloween costume choice for adults and kids. Costumes are easily made with a black dress pant, white shirt, scissor glove as well as a black, messy wig. The costume is composed of gloves and wig that will give you that famous blade-like appearance.
The film tells the story of a strange man with two dangerous and sharp scissor hands. He lives in a dark and depressing castle. He's different from others and lonely because he is without none of his family members or friends.
Edward's character evolves throughout the film. His attitude becomes more positive and open. He begins to dress in more casual attire. He starts to build a closer relationship with his daughter Peg. He also becomes more accepting of people who aren't "normal" or as close to his.
Winona Ryder and Johnny Depp were both excellent in their roles as Edward and Peg. Both actors have that creepy but lovable character that the movie is known for.
The film was distinctive in many ways. The method of filming was just one of them. The director employed close-up shots and symmetry to emphasize the characters. When Edward attempted to open a locked door the camera switched to a close-up shot of his hands. edwardscissorhandscostume were not able to grip the handle.
The costumes and hairstyles of the characters also were a distinct aspect. Edward's costume remained largely identical throughout the whole film. Peg's, on the contrary was more conservative initially but she loosened up as she began to open up to the new environment. Kim's dress and hairstyle changed too as she grew older and started to resemble Edward in appearance.
The primary reason why Edward Scissorhands has stood the tests of time is that it was such a beautiful film. The movie was well-acted and had an interesting storyline. The film is something to watch for those who haven't seen it before.
If you are looking for a good horror movie, Edward Scissorhands is certainly worth your time. It has a very touching plot and is entertaining to watch. The film will be a hit in the decades to come.
