"All animals are equal - but some are more equal than others"
"it is the history of a revolution that went wrong - and of the excellent excuses that were forthcoming at every step for the perversion of the original doctrine"
Orwell wrote the novel at the end of 1943, but it almost remained unpublished; its savage attack on Stalin, at that time Britain's ally, led to the book being refused by publisher after publisher

Animal Farm is the story of revolution gone wrong. when Mr. Jones forgets to feed his animals, they take justice in their own hands, and attempt at building a new ideal world where all animals are equals - but some are more equal than others. this is a powerful and thought provoking book that is ment to echo the Russian Revolution.

Echos the communist revolution.

Toronto, January 10, 2015-This year marks the 60th anniversary of George Orwell's classic novel Animal Farm. Penguin Press is re releasing it in June of this year. Orwell fans rejoice as this timeless classic will feature new art, and will be the first in a series of Orwell re releases including Nineteen Eight-Four and Down and Out in Paris and London.
Orwell wrote fiction and non fiction based on what he knows. His experiences from his time fighting in the Spanish Civil War to time spent tramping about in London gave him a unique and insightful perspective on the world.
Animal farm is allegory closely echoing Russian socialism in the early 20th Century. The three main pig characters seem to loosely mirror communist revolutionaries such as Lenin, Trotsky and Stalin. Orwell writes a sobering and sincere drama of the flaws and power struggles at the time.

Animal Farm in a short novel about a group of farm animals that attempt a revolution that mirrors that of the Russian revolution.

Comrades! I do not know when rebellion will come, it might be in a week or a hundred years, but I know, as surely as I see this straw beneath my feet that sooner or later justice will be done...
