Volcano View High School located in Albuquerque has been in the news recently after two students were exiled from the school for a period of 10 days before being kicked off of the football team. This was due to posting an untrusted photo of two black students alongside their classmates, but with Ku Klux Klan Hoods on their heads. Certain people, like the parents of one girl believe that the punishment is not severe enough.
The Santa Fe Trail was used by soldiers transporting military items, stagecoach lines, future prospectors of gold, explorers and missionaries who traveled to the Mexican state of Texas. The trail was long and often dangerous as it was prone to military detachments that waited to intercept the traveling party.
