The final season of HBO's epic drama about fantasy coming up, now is an ideal time to begin planning how you'll be dressing up this Halloween. While many GoT fans spend months preparing elaborate costumes for their favorite characters some can put together an appealing look with little effort and a few everyday items.
The most famous costumes from the show include Jon Snow's dark Night's Watch cloak and Longclaw sword, Daenerys's dragon-themed outfit and fire-breathing baby, Cersei Lannister's royal costume and lion's sigil Arya Stark's Faceless Man look and Needle sword, Tyrion Lannister's striped long sleeve shirt and golden hand of the queen pin, and Margaery Tyrell's hair cut short and embellished costumes. Dressing up as the White Walker or one of the most deadly members of the Children of the Forest is a great idea to make your outfit more frightening.
Catelyn Stark was the mother of all the Starks, and was a key role in the series. She was the one who gave Arya the courage, Sansa the tenacity and Bran the wisdom. The costume is easily recreated using an elegant blouse as well as a veil and wig.
Daenerys has had a variety of stunning styles over the course of eight seasons. Her blue ensemble is perhaps the most recognisable. This look is also easy to recreate using a white dress and long blonde wig.
Brienne of Tarth The most touching and honorable female character from Game of Thrones is a excellent DIY costume. You just need the brown leather jacket, an ankle-high boot and a wig to make her signature look.
Ygritte has appeared only for a couple of occasions on the show but her style is instantly recognizable. You can recreate her look by draped faux shearling on top of an edgy dress and adding some fake fur.
Arya Stark's training sessions in the Faceless Men in Braavos left her with beautiful, eerie makeup and hairstyles. Make a copy of her style by applying some dark eye makeup and braiding your hair.
