-Pax was not only interesting but a very informative movie as well. From what I could understand the characters were not only realistic but the character's were very defined by themselves. I also picked Bess, Maria and Ernie to analyze only because I feel that the conclusion is more then sufficient to say that Bess is a patient that is suffering from a state of mental illness we all know too well called depression. She has periods’ of schizophrenia and psychotic depression. My Mother suffers from these disorders so it helped me to visualize someone else going through it, I could never understand my mother because I didn't understand her mental illness. I know that schizophrenia is one of the psychotic mental disorders that not only affects an individual's thoughts, and behaviors but also their ability to have a social functioning. My mother cant stand people or large crowds.Living with my mother all my life I have learned some of her side affects to associate with the mental illness's of schizophrenia for instance delusional thoughts, hallucinations, catatonia, disorganized speech or behavior, rages and aggressive feelings toward people in general.
