An Emfit Seizure Alarm can raise an alert with a caregiver when a person is having a seizure while they are asleep, allowing them to respond quickly and help them to recover.
Sensor technology recognises the slightest of movements and differentiates normal movement from strong muscle jerking, such as those associated with generalised tonic-clonic seizures (GTC). The system also detects micro-movements caused by a person’s breathing and heart beating.

Bed-exit function helps prevent wandering
The optional bed-exit function can be activated to send an alert when a person leaves their bed and does not return within a pre-set time. This feature is particularly useful for people who are prone to wandering and can improve care and peace of mind for their carers.
Companion monitor
The companion monitor can be used to detect various types of seizure using a discreet under-mattress bed sensor and a bedside monitor unit with an optional microphone. The sensor will work on most bed types including profiling beds and memory foam mattresses and can be adjusted to the individual’s requirements.
The device can detect a number of types of seizures such as GTCs, tonic clonic seizures, limb spasms and other nocturnal episodes. The system can raise an alarm with a caregiver using either a Lifeline home unit or via Telecare Overlay, enabling care to be delivered quickly and safely.
