The Castle Theatre in Bloomington's downtown was packed to the rafters for starset Hats' Tuesday night performance. This concept band pushes boundaries with rock music. They tell a story of a planet in outer space, and use that to deliver a powerful message. Dustin Bates is a vocalist and an engineer. He created a music band that tells the story with music, video and augmented reality. Bates' band consists of Bates along with Ron DeChant as bassist, Brock Richards as guitarist, Adam Gilbert on drums, Zuzana Engererova playing cello, and Adam Gilbert at drummer.
lpotl merch went crazy when the band opened the show with "My Demons". The band began to slow down, with "Halo", "Antigravity", then "Antigravity". But the fans continued to react by fist pumping and jumping up and downwards. Some fans even held up their lighters.
Before the show, the band ate with and entertained their fans. They were able sell out the venue because of this and their catchy sounds. Starset performs a show with a high level of production that is unmatched by any other band.
