We started our Winter holiday last Friday, and what a well-deserved break this shall be for our pupils and employees alike. We chatted to our Head of Senior Academic, Mrs Tracy van Molendorff final week to find out how this term has unfolded in the digital house. While heading into an internet examination period didn't come with out its challenges, Kingswood has never backed down from a challenge.

Another nice weekend was had for the water polo club this previous weekend. Our U14 women departed on Thursday for the Pitcairn Cup Water Polo Tournament hosted by Reddam House Constantia in Cape Town. At the annual Neil Aggett Memorial Lecture that took place earlier right now, we had the honour of welcoming Lord Peter Hain as our 2023 guest speaker. This lecture takes place each year to celebrate the lifetime of Dr Neil Aggett and is held to honour his legacy.

One of probably the most distinctive issues about Kingswood College is the reality that we have a Pre-Primary, Junior and Senior School. Yesterday our Junior pupils came over to the “BIG” college to be shown a thing or two about being a scientist by our Senior Pupils. A great first ever Junior Golf KDay event was held at The Belmont Golf club on Tuesday 14 June.
At our annual Neil Aggett Memorial Lecture right now, a particular award was made to Old Kingswoodian, Uyinene Mrwetyana who was tragically killed final year. She has posthumously been awarded the Neil Aggett Memorial Award. This weekend would have been our Chapel Anniversary Service and we thought it would be fitting to look back at this historical second in our Kingswood history.
