The stark narration, "was conceived by the power of the holy spirit born of the virgin Mary, suffered under the Pontius Pilate, were crucified, died, and was buried." The "Docetism taught that Jesus only seemed to be human, and therefor did not really suffer or die."
The creed's concerns were the Docetism heresy, a type of Gnosticism with its Greek distaste for the world had truly taken on flesh.
Born of the virgin Mary
The New Testament doesn't have much information of what we might call the Mary history. In Marck 3:21,31-35, Paul tells that "God sent his son, born of a woman, born under the law". Mark seems to include Mary among the members of Jesus' family who thought him to be" out of his mind "when he began preaching. Mattheew and Luke report the virginal conception of Jesus, however the story is not in mark, the main source. In matt 1:18-21/LUKE 1:34-35 "they represent a way of teaching that God is the real father of Jesus".
