Jojo's Bizarre Adventure is a long running series with crazy costumes and characters, stronger superpowers, and an enthralling plot that stretches across multiple generations. It's not for everyone but is one of the most loved and watched shows. It's not surprising that fans costume themselves in the costumes of their favourite characters from the classic series.
While many fans like to dress up as JoJo, the main character of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure, others have gone a bit far and are embarrassing themselves by doing so. A cosplayer recently posted a story on Twitter about a meeting they encountered with a JoJo fan who took things to far at a busy restaurant. The story begins by the cosplayer stating that they are a JoJo fan and that they have the cosplay backpack, which has several characters. When they're walking to their car after finishing their shift at McDonald's when another fan comes up to them and begins asking questions about the show.
The cosplayer states that they've responded to all questions of the fan and explained why their favorite episode was. The fan then started to perform the Dio pose in the middle of a packed restaurant. The actor says the pose was awkward and he felt uncomfortable by the entire situation.
This is not something to be displayed in public. It's inhumane to subject the cosplayer to this type of behavior when they're wearing their costume. The cosplayer was trying to be kind and have an enjoyable time, however this fan wasn't having it.
In the end, the cosplayer has decided to make an assertion about what they think is appropriate and what is not for JoJo cosplay. The message they are sending is simple: if you'd like to be a JoJo Cosplayer, do it with respect for the other fans.
