Anthony Stark Earth-616 Fandom
Essentially, Tony is able to merge his mind, body, and armor in unprecedented ways. He can “armor up” in mere seconds—with armor stored within himself—gains split-second reaction times, and can even generate new internal organs to replace the old. Unfortunately, Extremis is also vulnerable to being hacked, and the Skrulls and other organizations have done just that. Needing help to defeat both Stark and Kang, the team travels back in time to recruit a teenaged Anthony Stark from an alternate timeline to assist them. The young Stark steals an Iron Man suit in order to aid the Avengers against his older self.
One exception is the direct-to-DVD animated feature film The Invincible Iron Man, in which the armor Stark uses to escape his captors is not the first Iron Man suit. Lee and Kirby included Iron Man in The Avengers #1 (September 1963) as a founding member of the superhero team. The character has since appeared in every subsequent volume of the series. Iron Man is a superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.
He must recharge the chestplate every day or else risk the shrapnel killing him. The cover story that Stark tells the news media and general public is that Iron Man is his robotic personal bodyguard, and corporate mascot. To that end, Iron Man fights threats to his company (e.g., Communist opponents Black Widow, the Crimson Dynamo, and the Titanium Man), as well as independent villains like the Mandarin (who becomes his greatest enemy). No one suspects Stark of being Iron Man, as he cultivates a strong public image of being a rich playboy and industrialist. Two notable members of the series's supporting cast, at this point, are his personal chauffeur Harold "Happy" Hogan, and secretary Virginia "Pepper" Potts—to both of whom he eventually reveals his dual identity. Meanwhile, James Rhodes finds his own niche as Stark's personal pilot, ultimately revealing himself to be a man of extraordinary skill and daring in his own right.
The situation worsens when Stark realizes that Stingray's armor does not incorporate any of his designs. He uses the cover story of wanting to help disable the rogue Iron Man to infiltrate and disable the armor of the S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives known as the Mandroids, as well as the armor of the Guardsmen. In the process, Iron Man and Jim Rhodes allow some of the villains in the Vault to escape. This leads the United States government to declare Iron Man a danger and an outlaw, and severely sours Stark's relationship with Steve Rogers (Captain America, who was in his "Captain" persona at the time). Iron Man travels to Russia where he inadvertently causes the death of the Soviet Titanium Man during a fight. Returning to the U.S., he faces an enemy commissioned by the government named Firepower.
In the different versions of Iron Man, Stark’s group has been ambushed in Vietnam, the Persian Gulf, and Afghanistan. He created the personal arc reactor to generate energy for an electromagnet keeping shrapnel away from his heart. Plagued by many vices, Stark is prone to womanizing, pride, and, most of all, alcoholism. The latter was an addiction developed in big part due to Howard's abuse of Tony, who forced him to take his first sip when he was a child.[271][272] This lifetime of troubles has caused him to develop a cynical view of the world. When he was twenty-one, Tony's parents died in a car crash and he inherited his father's business, Stark Industries.
Stark’s path to becoming Iron Man is, in many ways, as spiritual as you can get without reciting Bible verses. He is an archetypical woeful sinner who wasted much of his life on wine, women and weapons. While he doesn’t find God, specifically, he does find what he considers a purpose when he has what one might call the Marvel Comics equivalent of the Apostle Paul’s Damascas Road experience. Despite his genius, even Tony Stark couldn't stop Marvel villains like the Mandarin and Justin Hammer from hacking into his Iron Man armor. With stories like Secret Empire and One More Day, Marvel's developed a habit of ruining great heroes like Captain American and Spider-Man. After several years as a world-famous Super Hero, Tony is attacked by the mysterious Ghost, a hacker and anti-corporate activist who repurposes old Stark Industries weapons. Marvel Comics just introduced Iron Man's replacement with a NEW Iron Man who is smarter than Tony Stark, as he created a suit the original never has.
Writers have updated the war and locale in which Stark is injured. In the 1990s, it was updated to be the first Gulf War,[17] and in the 2000s updated again to be the war in Afghanistan. Stark's time with the Asian Nobel Prize-winning scientist Ho Yinsen is consistent through nearly all incarnations of the Iron Man origin, depicting Stark and Yinsen building the original armor together.
He is noted for the loyalty he commands from and returns to those who work for him, as well as for his business ethics. Thus he immediately fired an employee who made profitable, but illegal, sales to Doctor Doom.[46] He strives to be environmentally responsible in his businesses. The most recent models of Stark's armor, beginning with the Extremis armor, are now stored in the hollow portions of Stark's bones, and the personal area networking implement used to control it is implanted into his forearm, and connected directly to his central nervous system. Iron Man‘s climactic Transformers-like battle involves lots of action and peril, and several innocent bystanders wreck their cars trying to avoid the mayhem. The battle also leads to the apparent death of one of the combatants.
This is an interesting response to encountering someone with an intellect that rivals his own, as not long ago in Iron Man’s own comic series, he became something akin to a god after bathing in Galactus’ Power Cosmic, and he used his god-tier powers to make everyone in the world as smart as him. Tony believed this would solve the world’s problems (he was wrong). However, with just one person standing before him with his level of genius, and a creative mind for engineering and mechanics, one would think that Iron Man would want to hone this person’s talents, and give him the resources he would need to make something truly remarkable. Back in the United States, Stark redesigned his chest plate, which contained a pacemaker-like device, reducing the chest plate's size and weight so he could wear it under his normal clothing. Required to wear the armor's chest plate at all times to keep his heart alive and beating, Stark decided to put the rest of the armor to regular use as well. Tony was unable to stop the Earth from being taken over by Skrulls, as the aliens bypassed Stark defense technology used around the world.
Version of Tony assisted young genius Riri Williams in creating a new suit of armor, allowing her to fight as Ironheart in Tony’s absence. After Tony recovered, he seemingly went rogue, murdering several people and forcing the Avengers to recruit a teenage Tony Stark from the past to combat him. These events were later revealed to be manipulation by the time traveler known as Immortus, but in the interim, the adult Tony was killed. A competing industrialist, Obadiah Stane, never lost his taste for weapons and was a great fan of psychological warfare. He took hostile control of Tony Stark’s company for a time, and though he perished in battle, his descendants are perhaps even more ruthless than he was.
True to its comic book roots, Iron Man is violent and frenetic at times. The opening scene—in which several U.S. soldiers are taken out by explosions and gunfire—may be the most disturbing. One bomb rips through a Humvee, while the vehicle Stark is riding in gets riddled with gunfire.
Eventually, Tony discovered that the Iron Man suit was causing his nervous system to deteriorate. After briefly experimenting with a telepresence suit, Tony created the War Machine suit to protect himself. He again faked his death and put himself into suspended animation, passing the War Machine suit along to Rhodey, who continued in his stead. Having faced near death more than once thanks to his injury, Tony underwent a heart transplant, and finally no longer relied on the Iron Man suit to live.
Marvel has just unleashed a powerful new weapon against the X-Men that has distinctive ties to Tony Stark, aka Iron Man. The X-Men are facing a powerful new threat that poses a serious danger not only to the mutants, but to the entire Marvel Universe. The X-Men's worst enemies are coming together in an attempt to destroy the heroes of the Marvel Universe - but things are not all bad.
After his parents are killed in a car accident, he inherits his father's company. Iron Man emphasizes loyalty, restitution and the responsible use of power by individuals and nations. His heroic journey involves an arrogant sinner coming to grips with his own depravity and choosing to change. Throughout the 1960s and ’70s, Iron Man was a mainstay of Marvel’s output.
After Tony overcame mind control by a resurgent Mandarin, he decided to leave Earth for a time and join the Guardians of the Galaxy. Thanks to machinations by the Red Skull, many of Earth’s heroes and villains had their morality inverted. The now idealistically evil Tony Stark decided to sell the Extremis technology to the world, creating a utopia but leaving everyone dependent on him both physically and monetarily. It was only through a reboot of the universe during a second “Secret Wars” event that this malevolent Tony Stark was undone.
In fact, the Mandarin, working with warlord Wong-Chu, captured Tony Stark and indirectly brought about the creation of Iron Man. The Mandarin has returned again and again to pit his magic and intellect against Stark technology. Beyond his all-purpose suits, Tony has created specialized armor for specific scenarios. Some notable examples include the Hulkbuster armor (so-named as its size and strength allow Tony to stand toe-to-toe with the Hulk, when needed), along with deep-space, underwater and stealth suits. During this time, Stark engages in a romance with Rumiko Fujikawa,[65] a wealthy heiress and daughter of the man who had taken over his company during the "Heroes Reborn" period. อ่านมังงะ Her relationship with Stark endures many highs and lows, including infidelity with Stark's rival, Tiberius Stone, in part because the fun-loving Rumiko believes that Stark is too serious and dull.
