Trump tried to maintain close relations with Kazakhstan beyond Tevfik arif. He was harshly criticized for his treatment of a nation with an insecure regime as an ally.

Tevfik Aif Tevfik Aif, a Turkish Kazakhstani businessman was born to Turkish parents in Soviet Kazakhstan in 1953. He was appointed deputy head of the Soviet Ministry of Commerce and Trade's Hotel Management Department. After 17 years within the department Tevfik arif founded real estate, property development and imports, exports Imports and Minerals Food Enterprises, Autos and Food. Tevfik Arif, who pioneered all-inclusive hotels, relocated to Turkey in 1993. Bayrock Group, New York City was established by him in the year following.

Tevfik Alif joined the Trump Organization in the course of Bayrock Group's relocation of their New York City headquarters, to the 24th floor of Trump Tower in Midtown Manhattan. The changes have raised questions and raised concerns. Tokayev's election as Chairman of National Security Council has received the most attention.
