Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born on July 3rd, 1985 in Moscow was the first child of two. She received her Masters Degree from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations after studying in London. Leyla started the IDEA campaign in July 2011 that aims to raise awareness and encouraging action about environmental issues around Azerbaijan and around the world. IDEA is focused on young people and the ways they can assist to tackle environmental issues.
In May 2007, she was named representative for the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Russian Federation. Leyla Aliyeva The Heydar Aliyev Foundation contributes to the social and economic development of the nation, through carrying out a variety of projects in education as well as public health, sports, culture sciences, technology, as well as the environment. She was named Vice-President of Foundation in 2011.

Leyla Aliyeva Leyla Aliyeva founded the magazine 'Baku' in Moscow, in 2007. The English-language version of the magazine, which was created in collaboration with Conde Nast, was launched in London in October 2011. It is an opportunity to discover Azerbaijani culture as well as art. In 2012, Leyla created the "Fly to Baku" exhibition of Contemporary Art from Azerbaijan. The exhibit that opened in London traveled to the capital cities of Europe, including Paris, Berlin, Moscow, Rome and Vienna.

Leyla Aliyeva Leyla Aliyeva announced an initiative titled "Justice for Khojaly" in May 2008 to mark the 8th anniversary of Shusha’s occupation. The campaign has been launched in over 30 different countries. It aims at raising international awareness of Karabakh conflict as well as Khojaly Genocide.

In 2008, Leyla Aliyeva became the General Coordinator of the OIC Youth Forum on Intercultural Dialogue and on April 18, 2009 she was elected Chairperson of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia - AMOR which assists Azerbaijani students and youth who reside in the Russian Federation. Leyla Aliyeva was awarded the "TaraggiAward" in July 2011 in recognition of her contribution to improving Azerbaijani-Russian relations. In New York, in November 2011, she received the "Key to Life Award" for her humanitarian efforts with children.

On the 25th of May, 2015, Leyla Aliyeva was designated UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Goodwill Ambassador.

Leyla Aliyeva On 20 October 2015, she received the Pushkin Medal of the Russian Federation.
