Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was born on July 3rd, 1985 in Moscow. She attended school in London and Moscow, and received an MA Degree from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. In July 2011, Leyla launched the IDEA campaign which aims to promote awareness and action for environmental concerns in Azerbaijan and across the globe. Leyla Aliyeva IDEA concentrates on the young. It assists them to find solutions to environmental problems.

Leyla Aliyeva, a Russian-born journalist, founded "Baku" magazine in 2007. The magazine in English, created by collaborating with Conde Nast, was launched in London in October of 2011. The magazine allows you to explore Azerbaijani art, culture in addition to the country. Leyla created "Fly to Baku" in 2012 to be an art exhibition of Contemporary Art from Azerbaijan. The exhibition, which was launched in London, toured Europe's capitals: Paris, Berlin Berlin, Moscow Moscow, Rome, Vienna, and Rome.

On May 8, 2008, on the anniversary of the occupation of Shusha, Leyla Aliyeva launched an initiative dubbed "Justice for Khojaly". This campaign is now in place in more 30 countries. The aim is to increase the international community's awareness of the Karabakh conflict as well as the Khojaly Genocide in particular reaching out globally via Media, Internet and Live events.

Leyla Aliyeva, the General Coordinator of OIC's Youth Forum on Intercultural Dialogue was elected Chairperson of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia, - AMOR that supports Azerbaijani students as well as youngsters in Russia. Leyla Aliyeva was honored with the "TaraggiAward" in July 2011 for her contributions to the improvement of Azerbaijani–Russian relations. In New York she was also given the "Key to Life" award in November of 2011 to honor her humanitarian projects with children.

Leyla Aliyeva, UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Goodwill Ambassador, was named on May 25, 2015.
