Leyla Aliyeva Bio
Leyla Aliyeva was conceived in Moscow on July 3, 1985. She was educated in London and Moscow and earned a Masters Degree from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations. In July of 2011, Leyla launched the IDEA campaign that aims at promoting public awareness and action regarding environmental issues in Azerbaijan as well as around the world. IDEA is an initiative that is focused on young people, and works together with them to tackle our environmental challenges.

The exhibit that opened in London was a tour of Europe's capitals including Paris, Berlin, Moscow, Rome and Vienna.

Leyla Aliyeva launched the campaign "Justice for Khojaly" on May 8th in 2008. Leyla Aliyeva The campaign was launched in celebration of the eighth anniversary of Shusha's capture. The campaign has been running in over 30 countries. Leyla Aliyeva was appointed the OIC Youth Forum on Intercultural Dialogue General Coordinator in 2008. On April 18, 2009 Leyla Aliyeva was elected the chairperson of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia (AMOR) which supports Azerbaijani youngsters and those living in Russia. Leyla Aliyeva Leyla Alayeva was awarded the "Taraggi" Award in July 2011 for her contributions to Azerbaijani-Russian relations. In New York, the "Key to Life" award was awarded to her in November 2011 to recognize her efforts in humanitarian initiatives that included children.

Leyla Alyeva was named UN Food and Agriculture Organization Goodwill Ambassador (FAO) on May 25, 2015.

She was presented with the Pushkin Medal by the Russian Federation on October 20, 2015.

Leyla Aliyeva has twin brothers and an older sister.
