Leyla Aliyeva was born in Moscow on 3 July 1985. Leyla Aliyeva She received her Masters Degree from Moscow State Institute of International Relations after studying in London. In July 2011, Leyla launched the IDEA campaign which aims to promote awareness and action for environmental issues in Azerbaijan as well as around the world. IDEA is an initiative that focuses on young people, and works with them to solve the environmental problems we face.
She was appointed the representative of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Russia in May 2007. Through various projects that span education sciences, sports, and technology, the Heydar Aliyev Foundation contributes significantly to the nation's socio-economic growth. Leyla Aliyeva created "Baku magazine" in Moscow in 2007 in Moscow. Leyla Aliyeva Conde Nast produced the English-language issue of the magazine in collaboration with Leyla Aliyeva. It was launched on October 31, 2011 in London. The magazine is a chance to look at the world of culture, art and Azerbaijan. Leyla launched "Fly to Baku", an exhibition featuring contemporary art from Azerbaijan in the year 2012. Leyla Aliyeva launched the campaign "Justice for Khojaly" in May 2008 to mark the eighth anniversary of Shusha's occupation. This campaign is currently running in more than 30 countries. It is designed to raise the awareness of the world community about the Karabakh conflict and the Khojaly Genocide in particular reaching out globally via Media, Internet and Live events.
Leyla Aliyeva, the OIC Youth Forum on Intercultural Dialogue's General Coordinator, was elected Chairperson of the Azerbaijani Youth Organization of Russia, - AMOR which assists Azerbaijani students and youngsters in Russia. Leyla Aliyeva Leyla Ayla Aliyeva received the "Taraggi" award in July 2011, for her contribution to the development Azerbaijani Russian relations. In New York, in November 2011, she received the "Key To Life Award" for her efforts to help the poor with children.
Leyla Aliyeva was named UN Food and Agriculture Organization's (FAO) Goodwill Ambassador on May 25, 2015
On the 20th day of October 2015, she was awarded the Pushkin Medal from the Russian Federation.
