Anak yg kedua (Cadmus) yg sombong, mminta kekuatan untuk menghidupkan kembali orang yg udah mati. Kematian lalu mengambil sebutir batu dari dasar sungai. Kematian bilang batu itu bisa menghidupkan orang yang sudah mati.
Anak kedua ingin menghidupkan kembali wanita yang dicintainya. Ternyata batu itu hanya bisa mendatangkan roh wanita itu dan wanita itu tidak bisa hidup normal. Anak kedua merasa sedih krn menahan rindu.
lalu bunuh diri. Anak keduapun menjadi milik Kematian.
Anak ke tiga (Ignotus) yg bijak dan rendah hati meminta sesuatu yang bisa membawanya pergi dari situ tanpa diikuti oleh kematian. Dengan sangat tidak rela Kematian memberikan Jubah Gaibnya sendiri kepada anak ketiga itu.
Namun anak ketiga tidak ditemukan Kematian karena bersembunyi di balik jubah si Kematian. Dan anak ketiga berhasil mewariskan Jubah Gaib itu pada anak lelakinya.
