Game Of Thrones Costumes Tell A Story
When it concerns Game of Thrones, the costumes tell a story all their own. From Jon Snow's heavy cloaks, to Daenerys Targaryen's fur-trimmed coat that was made specifically to ride a dragon the elaborately detailed costumes speak everything about the characters than the words they use. Whether they're crafted from an azure-colored fabric in the Westerosi capital Essos or elegant gowns for Cersei, every stitch holds an element of significance. Costumes for characters can act as a kind of time capsule and illuminate past events or even foretell future drama. The embroidery details of each outfit may also provide additional layers of character to a character, with subtle symbols hints at the character's motives and circumstances they're currently living through.



One of the finest instances of this is Sansa Stark's coronation attire, made using hand-embroidered elements like weirwood leaves to represent Winterfell, fish scales that are a symbol of her Tully heritage as well as wolf neckguards that cascade down her back. The embroidered elements come together to be a story telling of her transformation from an ingenue pawn to powerful queen.


Game Of Thrones Costumes has also used his clothes to communicate a sense location, with many of the costumes featuring motifs that relate to their location. For example the white fur coat Dany wears as she rides into Winterfell includes red streaks to represent the House of Targaryen. This is a tribute to her bloodline and a warning for the other houses to be cautious of her.


Costumes have been utilized to reveal the plot of a particular season. Missandei’s bare-skin outfits, and Ygritte's furs that are ragged are often used to signal the coming of White Walkers. The way in which characters wear their costumes can offer subtle clues. If, for instance, someone wears a sword most likely, they'll be in a fight.


It's not difficult for the fans to create these costumes for Halloween. The producers would have to spend an enormous amount of time and money to design them. The Game of Thrones Halloween costumes can make you look like an untidy Rickon or a cold White Walker.
