My thoughts on this article are. This is reality.informed and engaged. I get to see a behind the scenes of the seafood industry. In some countries like Thailand they have human trafficking, forced laborers to capture the fish and aren't being fed. They are being tortured with stingray tails, whips, and being kicked. The people are given false documents as the business can't have a undocumented crew. People are working 20-22 hours w/o breaks and if they stop they get beat. It's difficult to tell whether or not a can of cat food has been slave-caught fish. The transactions throughout the seafood supply chain aren't well documented. Meaning it's difficult to tell just how much seafood on the shelf is from slave labour.


The lonely death of George notes: a short story about a man who dies but has no siblings,family members or loved ones . Know about his death. The short read is about the finality of death and how people should appreciate what they have in their finite time. In a way the author is expressing respect for death. Some people die in silence with no-one to visit them. Some people die and then their siblings come out of nowhere and are asking for their possession of the deceased belongings. My thoughts on this reading is Meh: it didn't really connect or engage with me. I really didn't even read half way I just skipped to the ending.
