1. แจ้งเข้าไปที่บริษัทสัญญาประกันภัยภายหลังตกแต่งทันที
ซึ่งคุณสามารถโทรไปแจ้งเกี่ยวกับเนื้อหาการตกแต่งต่างๆได้เลย ว่ามีเปลี่ยนแปลงส่วนประกอบที่ไหนมาบ้าง แล้วต่อจากนั้นบริษัทสัญญาประกันภัยจะขอหลักฐานเป็นใบเสร็จของอุปกรณ์พวกนั้น คุณก็แค่จัดแจงส่งไปยืนยัน ซึ่งส่วนมากถ้าค่าของแต่งไม่เกิน 30,000 บาท บริษัทจะไม่คิดค่าเบี้ยเพิ่ม แต่ว่าถ้าหากเมื่อไรที่ค่าเกิน 30,000 บาท คุณจะถูกคิดค่าเบี้ยเพิ่มโดยทันที แต่ว่าจะเพิ่มมากแค่ไหน อันนี้ขึ้นกับบริษัทสัญญาประกันภัยนั้นๆแต่รับประกันได้ว่า คุณจะสามารถเคลมทุกๆอย่างได้ธรรมดา ไม่ต้องเสียตังค์ค่าส่วนต่างคราวหลัง
2. มิได้แจ้งเข้าไปที่บริษัทประกันภัย
แม้ว่าจะมิได้แจ้งไป แต่บริษัทประกันก็รับผิดชอบ ยอมเคลมเช่นเดียวกัน แต่จะจ่ายตามราคาของเดิมที่คุณแปลงออกไปตามราคากลางแค่นั้น ดังเช่น เปลี่ยนแปลงชุดแต่งรอบคันมา 25,000 บาท แม้กระนั้นของเดิมที่ติดมาพร้อมกับรถราติดอยู่เพียงแค่ 10,000 บาท ซึ่งถ้ากำเนิดความย่ำแย่ขึ้นมา บริษัทรับรองจะเคลมให้คุณตามราคาของเดิม 10,000 บาทแค่นั้น แล้วก็ส่วนต่างอีก 15,000 บาท คุณจะต้องรับผิดชอบออกเงินที่เหลือเอง
สุดท้าย แม้ว่าจะไม่ได้แจ้งบริษัทสัญญาประกันภัยหลังจากตกแต่งไปแล้ว คุณก็ยังได้รับความคุ้มครองปกป้องอยู่ แม้กระนั้นบางครั้งอาจจะได้รับไม่เต็มกำลัง ทางที่ดีควรรีบแจ้งรับรองทันที และเก็บใบเสร็จรับเงินทุกสิ่งเอาไว้เป็นหลักฐาน เพื่อจะได้รับความปกป้องแบบสุดกำลัง ไม่ต้องมานั่งกังวลคราวหลังอีกด้วย
