He's still a fierce warrior though, it is told that up on Mount Olympus, his throne is upholstered with human skin. Ares then started seeing Aphrodite and Hephaestus was furious! So he put down an almost invisible net and caught them together, he thought his revenge was not enough so he then invited all the gods and goddesses to witness them. The goddesses declined but the gods did not. Ares fled off in embarrassment as well as Aphrodite.
