FKA Twigs Plaques' 2021 Album CAPRISONGS
It's not uncommon for a well-loved artist to undergo major shifts on their next album which can alienate their original fanbase. FKA Twigs Plaques, real name Tahliah Barrnett has taken these radical steps with her album 2021 CAPRISONGS. Both critics and fans are impressed. The mixtape that has 17 tracks, which is "an exploration" of the everyday sounds and emotions it has been praised as well as applauded by Billboard, Washington Post, Pitchfork, Stereogum and NPR.


Twigs' love for edgy, dramatic shows isn't going away. The most distinctive feature of CAPRISONGS is the inclusion of the album's title track, a haunting and melancholy ballad written by her late friend and mentor, Xavier Dolan. The powerful track evokes Dolan's love of Paris, and his desire to return. The song's haunting tones and twigs mesmerizing falsetto has earned praise from the press as well as her followers.


Although many are still reeling from the huge success of CAPRISONGS twigs is currently tackling a brand new project: her directorial debut. She's been signed to the film Brighton Beach. It is an action thriller about a man that kills his ex-girlfriend to earn cash. The film was produced by Giulio Martinotti of Kicks and Molly Conners and Michelle Booso.
